The official Voter Registration numbers for November’s election are published. Compared to November 2022 in November 2024:
Maricopa County gained 6.2% voters,
9% increase in GOP,
1.8% in Democrats
LD3 gained 5.6% voters, 7.6% increase in GOP, 1.6% in Democrats.
LD25 (around Buckeye) is the fastest growing, followed by LD29 (Surprise).
LD11 had a 21% increase in registered Republicans!!!
Some of our LD3 precincts gained more than 10% Republican voters:
Canyon
New River
Deadman Wash
Sleepy Ranch
Canyon Springs
Coyote Basin
Vista Verde
Rio Verde
Pinnacle Peak
And about half of the precincts lost Democrats, led by:
Clay Mine
Dove Valley
Fort McDowell
Tramonto
Gavilan Peak
Cave Creek
Desert Hills
Majesty
Silver Spur
The fastest growing area is a cluster from the east side of Troon to Rio Verde and north. Storybrook, Sereno Canyon, Trilogy and the dry lot housing in unincorporated Rio Verde are where we experienced nearly 20% growth. The Copperleaf development in Sleepy Ranch precinct has added about 15% to that area.
