Data Snacks: Arizona's Primary, Continued

Parts of Arizona will be crazy busy with the Primary on July 30.  Last week’s Snack covered LD3.  Here is the rest of the picture.

Congressional Districts 1 and 3 are hotly contested. So are several Legislative Districts.  Multiple candidates are vying to go from being a candidate to a nominee.

LD8 is swamped with CD1, CD3, and AZ House. In LD22, Leezah Sun was ousted from the House, so she’s running for Senate.  Then there is LD24 where incumbent State Representative Analisa Ortiz faces a challenge from Mario Garcia, a registered Democrat who votes Republican and shares photos of himself with Kari Lake.

Other races to watch include:

·       LD7 around Flagstaff where a Democratic challenger to Wendy Rogers will be selected.

·       LD6, Navajo Country, where Angela Maloney is challenging longtime House members Myron Tsosie and Mae Peshlakai

·       Heavily Democratic LD21 from Tucson to the border, 3 contenders for House.
